The imagery in my work is inspired by naturally occurring domestic still lives: kitchen tools, family shoes, basket collections and quilts. Evidence of ten years living in the country: chickens, flowers and fences of my gardens, and landscape, appear as subjects in my work.
My return to the city in 2005 inspired me to explore the urban landscape. Most of my current work is linocut. Black and white linocut best expresses my fascination with, and my attention to, the patterns that surround us.
My work embodies my life experience as a woman, raising children, as well as a life long interest in fabric arts, basket making, photography, architecture, and travel.
